The Gather Pilates Approach

“Be the Change You Wish To See In Yourself”

- Jean Keese, The Pilates Hotty Mantra

We are passionate about sharing Pilates and holistic self-care rituals so you reach your wellness potential.

We know that coming into a Pilates studio for the first time can be intimidating.

It’s not your fault — learning something new is always hard and a little scary.
That’s why we’ve made it a priority to create a supportive and welcoming space, with classes designed just for you. You do not need to be a flexible ballerina, athlete or marathon runner to do pilates!

We don’t fit your body to the movements, we fit the movements to your body.

After all, Pilates is for everyBODY. And, so is self-care.

You so deserve it.

Jean Munoz Keese
Owner & Studio Founder

As an Aruyvedic practitioner, Jean brings a personalized and unique approach to Pilates and mindful movement.

Jean is dedicated to empowering her clients to enhance their health and enrich their lives through mindful movement and balancing self-care rituals. She has been changing lives by sharing mindful movement and Ayurveda for nearly 20 years. Jean's journey began as a means of healing from a cycling injury and managing stress in her previous career in political marketing and public affairs. What started as a personal pursuit blossomed into a deep passion, leading her to carve out a new path in the holistic health field.

Jean founded and directed a large Pilates, Yoga and Ayurvedic Wellness studio for nearly 10 years. During this time, working with hundreds of women, she was inspired to write the Pilates Hotty Mantra. This mantra is a call to action, reminding women to be peaceful with themselves and to find their inner and outer strength and power through Pilates movement.

This mantra is the inspiration behind her clothing line, Pilates Hotty. And, this message is her priority as she continues to share mindful movement and self-care ritual with others.

Having sold her previous Pilates, Barre and Yoga studio of ten years, Jean moved to McCall because of the amazing recreational quality of life we enjoy here. Since moving here a decade ago, Jean has been creating mindful movement and wellness experiences for clients in a small private training studio on her property.

Jean holds two comprehensive Pilates certifications, including Polestar Pilates, renowned for its rehabilitative approach. Like Joseph Pilates, Jean believes movement heals. She incorporates that belief into all of her teachings and believes Pilates is so much more than a great workout.

A graduate of the California College of Ayurveda and the American Institute of Vedic Studies, Jean holds certifications as a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist and Pancha Karma Specialist. Jean first studied Yoga with the Ananda Ashram in Grass Valley and has continued her studies with Integrative Yoga Therapy. Her dedication to education is evident in the multiple Yoga Alliance Approved Teacher Training programs she has developed and directed, alongside Pilates Teacher Training programs.

Jean finds joy in spending time exploring all the wild spaces in our region with her family and friends. She loves cooking, gardening, hiking, cycling and paddleboarding.

Megan Hatt

Megan Hatt joins Gather Dance Studio as the Director of our Competition Team, bringing a lifelong devotion to dance, a wealth of experience, and a contagious enthusiasm for inspiring young performers. Megan’s dance journey began at the age of four, igniting a passion that has guided her ever since. She trained extensively in ballet, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop, spending her early years competing and building a strong foundation in both technique and stage presence. Her love for dance drove her to Los Angeles, where she refined her skills at acclaimed studios like The Edge Performing Arts Center, Millennium Dance Complex, and Debbie Reynolds Dance Academy. Megan’s curiosity and open heart led her to discover new movement styles along the way—while attending Boise State University, she fell in love with belly dance after a captivating street performance, eventually performing with local troupes and even gracing the Idaho Shakespeare Festival stage. Beyond the studio, Megan made a career in pharmacy and has called McCall home for more than a decade. Still, her passion for dance remains a constant. Now, she’s thrilled to return to teaching, guiding our competition team, and sharing her deep love of dance with the next generation. When she isn’t teaching, Megan enjoys the outdoors with her family—paddleboarding, hiking, snowboarding, or camping—and finds inspiration through travel and new experiences. Megan’s vision for the competition team is to foster growth, teamwork, and a fearless love for performing. With her depth of experience and genuine excitement, she empowers every dancer to discover their unique strengths, embrace the joy of movement, and step onto the stage with confidence. Gather Dance Studio is delighted to welcome Megan and looks forward to the energy and artistry she’ll bring to our community.

Keira Rider

Keira Rider brings over a decade of dance experience and an inspiring passion for movement to Gather Dance Studio. Currently a student at McCall-Donnelly High School, Keira is both a valued member of our teaching staff and an important part of the Gather Dance Studio Competition Team. In fact, her vision and dedication are the inspiration behind the creation of our competition team—launched as her senior project. Her love for dance shines brightest in pointe, contemporary, and jazz, and one of her most memorable performances is “The Waltz of the Snowflakes” from The Nutcracker. Keira believes that dance is more than technique—it’s a powerful way to express emotion and share beauty with the world. Adventurous both on and off the stage, she has spent a semester abroad in Patagonia, Chile, and enjoys soccer, mountain biking, and skiing whenever she’s not dancing. With her graceful presence and genuine enthusiasm, Keira is excited to inspire and uplift our dance community. She looks forward to helping every dancer discover their own unique artistry and to sharing the joy of performance with all who join her at Gather.

Terrie Frank, USSD Kemp Karate Master

Terrie’s love for movement and dance has been a lifelong journey. Growing up in Virginia, she spent 13 years training at a dance academy, studying ballet, jazz, tap, modern, and pointe. Her training emphasized the holistic development of a dancer, a philosophy she continues to embrace in her teaching today. In her youth, Terrie was also an accomplished cheerleader, participating in camps and competitions with the Eastern Cheerleading Association, where she was named Best All-Around Cheerleader two years in a row. However, a severe neck injury during high school shifted her path away from professional dance. Despite this, her passion for movement never wavered. After moving to McCall, Terrie discovered Gather Pilates and experienced firsthand the transformative benefits of Pilates rehabilitation. For her, Pilates has become a way to reconnect with dance without chronic pain. She is currently training with The Pilates Academy International for instructor certification. When she’s not teaching or training, Terrie enjoys spending time with her three daughters, skiing, trekking through slot canyons, exploring the mountains, and getting lost in the forest. She also owns Flourish McCall, providing the beautiful plants that bring life to the studio. “Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with me! Watching their confidence grow as they master new techniques is truly rewarding. The ‘click’ is almost audible when they realize their perseverance can overcome obstacles they once thought impossible. They are truly amazing!”

Terri Martin, USSD Kemp Karate Master

Terri Martin brings a wealth of knowledge, passion, and expertise to our community as a USSD Kempo Karate Master. With over 30 years of training and teaching experience, Terri holds the distinguished rank of 5th-degree black belt and is a respected judge at USSD tournaments across the western United States. Her dedication to the art of karate extends far beyond personal achievement—Terri is deeply committed to inspiring and empowering a new generation of students with her expert, engaging instruction. Known for connecting personally with every student, Terri creates a welcoming and motivating environment where youth can learn confidence, discipline, and the fundamentals of karate. Through her partnership with Gather Pilates studio, she shares her passion and skill with young people in McCall, helping them discover their own strength and potential. We are honored to have Terri as part of our teaching family, guiding students on their journey both on and off the mat.
